Day Two - Panjiayuan Flee Market and Temple of Heaven

What a beautiful day, sunny and warm enough to go with out a coat but you do need a light jacket. We started out shopping at the market, trekked over to the Temple of Heaven, then went to a popular noodle restaurant and back for more shopping. Tonight is a Peking Duck dinner.


Dinner was down a popular street filled with red lanterns and colorful lights. Boys were standing on the sidewalk in front of their restaurant trying to encourage passersby to stop into their establishment to eat.




Tomorrow we go to church, then to have lunch in a local artist's home while she teaches us how to do cloisonne'.

We planned some fun days first to get over our jet lag. I think we are over it. Nothing like the prospect of shopping to get your body adjusted.

    Really, really enjoyed the shopping. This was an awesome idea you had! Can't wait to get to the orphanagizes either, but this is definitely a great start to the adventure...
