Jim's sister, Sue, drove all night from Pensicola Beach but made it to Mildred's for Christmas. Jim and I drove over from Jamie and Levi's by noon ready for a wonderful home cooked lunch of spiral ham, turkey and all the trimmings. With 21 people it took a while to get through all the presents.

After a fantastic Christmas Eve dinner at Jim's Steak house in downtown Peoria we went back to Jason's apartment to open presents. Afterwards Sondra and Jessica served a delicious homemade dessert. Aren't kids great?

Another year older. Yippee! Actually having a birthday on Dec. 23 hasnt been bad since I met Jim. Traditionally, no matter what country we are in, we start my day with breakfast out, followed by shopping, lunch out, movie, dinner out, and cake and ice cream at Mildred's. This year was no different. Breakfast was blackberry pancakes at Cracker Barrel, Jason joined us for lunch which was takeout at Avanti's, then a movie at the Rave. ("4 Christmas's") Great movie. For dinner Rick, Cheryl, Shelby, Reid, Mildred, Joe, Jessica, Jason, Sondra, Jim and I met at Little Ceasar's for pizza and salad. Next we went back to Mildred's for a home baked cake, ice cream and presents.

Making a trip home also gave us a chance to spend time with the grand"cats". MJ and CJ were snuggled up on Jessica's bed when we arrived. Max kept guard over the stairs going up to the bedrooms at Jamie and Levi's.

A trip home gave us a chance to visit Tiger the pet we left behind. Jason has kindly taken him in and has given him a happy home. It could be wishful thinking but we felt Tiger remembered us.
After landing in Chicago we drove down to stay with Jamie and Levi. Since they both work different hours it was hard to catch them both at home at the same time. With Jamie leaving for work at 4 a.m. Levi and I seemed to be up. Levi being a great cook would fix us Champion breakfast each day.
